New Clean URLs |

As I stated yesterday, I'm going through the site changing a lot of things. However, I've been changing a lot of the back-end to the site (the inner workings), so you guys won't notice too much of a difference.
One of the major changes that I've made is the use of "clean URLs". Before, whenever you'd view anything in the download manager, the URL (the actual address) to the page had a lot of ?, &, = etc. These have now been replaced with more attractive and search engine friendly URLs.
Go ahead and check them out yourselves. Now as we all know, with changes some certain bugs are bound to arise. If you find ANYTHING at all that doesn't work, please notify me either on the forums or in email so that I can get it fixed ASAP.
One final note: If you experienced any troubles yesterday, I apologize. I was doing a lot of live changes to the site (pretty stupid, I know), and often as I was debugging my code, the download manager would become unusable. I'll make sure to have my future work done on a test environment instead.  |

Site Cleanup |

Long time no talk folks. Just a little update here as I start to make yet another round of changes to DG that will happen in the upcoming weeks.
To begin with, I've gone and cleaned up some of the data that went along with each of the systems. For some reason, almost every single system was listed as "Nintendo 64"... Hmm, not too sure how that happened  . Each system should be labeled correctly now.
I'll keep you updated with the changes that I start implementing. |

In case you haven't noticed, the server is having some issues as of late. I've been talking a lot with my host, and we're currently working on some solution. Please be patient as we work things out.

I'm just curious what you guys think about the speeds that DohGames has to offer? This has to do with the website loading as well as download speeds.

We're Still Here! 64 More DS Roms |

Hey all,
Just wanted to apologize for the lack of updates. It's finals time for me, so I've been extremely busy with school. But not to worry, I've just added 64 new DS roms to the download manager. I'm still missing about 50 or so in the 1600's, but I'll get those eventually.
So enjoy the new roms, register on the forums and post about them, and spread the word of DohGames to everyone you know. |

New Screenshot Uploading System! |

For the past week or so I had been playing around with screenshot uploading for the roms.
I think I have it down pretty well, and the uploading system is currently live. All screenshots ARE moderated, and if you upload some horrible screenshot that isn't of the game, I will ban your IP address. The last time I had this system I was a bit too naive about it all, but now we're making sure we get good uploads.
So go check out your favorite roms, get screenshots, save them as either .jpg or .png , and make sure the picture is under 500 kb. It can either be a screenshot of the game's opening screen, or an action shot of in game. You choose.

I've added a new feature to the download manager.
Now anyone can post some comments about their favorite roms. This is different from the previous system, because there can be as many comments as the users want, instead of just one. These aren't so much reviews, but rather your thoughts about the game, and what you like/dislike about it.
The system works very well, and all comments are moderated. So don't try spamming around on the system.
Go and enjoy the new features. I'll be adding screenshot uploading very soon. |
